Asutifi North MP to Appear Before CID
The Member of Parliament for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, is set to cooperate with police investigations into the recent attack on the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) at Hwidiem in the Ahafo Region.
Addo will appear at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in response to a police invitation.
The Ghana Police Service invited the legislator to assist with ongoing inquiries into the violent disturbance, with Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, directing the CID to take over the investigation.
No comment from the MP or the police has been made regarding the expected outcome of the investigation.
