CU Buffs Soccer Receives All-Big 12 Selections
The Colorado women’s soccer team has received several awards for their standout season. The Big 12 Conference announced its year-end honors, with the Buffs receiving four first-team selections.
- Hope Leyba was named Forward of the Year
- Jordan Nytes collected her third Goalkeeper of the Year award
- Defender Faith Leyba and forward Jace Holley were also named first team all-conference
- Defender Caley Swierenga landed second team honors
- Midfielder Vivi Zacarias landed a spot on the All-Freshman team
Hope Leyba recently scored two goals in CU’s comeback win against Central Florida, increasing her team record total to 21 goals, which is tied for first nationally. She also holds a CU season record with 43 points.
Her 43 points is a CU season record, and she ranks fifth in program history in career goals (31) and sixth in points (66).
