The Brantford Bulldogs are making bold moves early in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) season. Unlike many teams focused on baseball leading up to Halloween, the Bulldogs have caught the hockey world’s attention with their aggressive trade strategy.
Before November even began, the Bulldogs kickstarted the trade deadline season more than two months ahead of the official deadline. On October 30, they made a significant acquisition by securing two experienced defensemen from the Oshawa Generals: Ben Danford, a 2024 first-round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and reliable overager Zackary Sandhu.
These additions join a strong Bulldogs defensive lineup that already includes former Wolves standout and Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Protz, St. Louis Blues first-round pick Adam Jiricek, and Winnipeg Jets selection Edison Engle.
The Bulldogs aren’t messing around with their early-season moves.
