Communities throughout the Inverness area will come together this weekend to solemnly remember those who have died in conflicts. The city’s main Remembrance Sunday parade and service is expected to draw hundreds to the Cavell Gardens war memorial.
Across towns and villages nearby, people will gather at local war memorials to observe moments of reflection for those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The parade in Inverness includes members of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), veterans, cadets, young people, politicians, and civic officials. It will begin forming on Huntly Street at 2:20 PM.
This year features a special inclusion of motorcyclists from the Highland Riders’ Branch of the RBLS. The march will cross the River Ness, arriving at the war memorial for the Remembrance service starting at 3 PM.
