Accusations of "Fake News" Over Interconnector Project
Finance Minister Makis Keravnos accused Greek Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou of spreading "fake news" regarding the Great Sea Interconnector.
Keravnos claimed that Papastavrou falsely stated he hadn't seen studies showing the project's unsustainability. Keravnos said these studies, commissioned by Cypriot Energy Minister George Papanastasiou, were delivered to the Greek energy ministry and even sent to Papastavrou's predecessor, Theodoros Skylakakis.
