Auburn University addressed confusion caused by multiple mobile alert warnings mistakenly sent to faculty and students on Thursday morning.
The university community received several safety notifications, including alerts about a tornado, an active shooter, and other potential dangers.
Auburn University clarified that these warnings were sent in error. The campus is currently safe and not facing any threats.
"The university has since announced that those alerts were sent in error and the school’s campus is not currently under any threat."
