‘It’s like a water balloon about to pop’: JMU passing attack takes step against Louisiana

James Madison's Passing Attack Comes Alive

James Madison's passing offense finally delivered the explosive plays that wide receiver Jaylan Sanchez promised in the preseason, helping the Dukes to a 24-14 win over Louisiana.

After a slow start, JMU's aerial attack came alive with a bold second-half play call by offensive coordinator Dean Kennedy, a flea flicker that resulted in a 62-yard touchdown pass from Alonza Barnett to Landon Ellis.

"We needed a spark," said JMU head coach Bob Chesney. "We knew they were playing downhill a little bit.

This play provided the momentum shift the Dukes needed, sparking their passing offense to life.
