After 6 days of fun and a final half-pot total of over $2.5 million, the West Side Nut Club is cleaning up the mess.
Many booths reported record sales, with the funds going to various Tri-State organizations. The booths are now gone, replaced by street sweepers and trailers.
“It comes and goes, it’s a little tough sometimes depending on the number of people and that kind of thing, but most of the time it’s smooth,”
stated a helper from Matthew’s Church, who has assisted with the cleanup for over 20 years. Around 300 active and 100 honorary West Side Nut Club members aided in the cleanup process.
