Lyte Fiber has been selected to receive $142 million in BEAD funding to expand high-speed internet access across seven counties in Texas.
The funding, which includes $23 million from the Texas Match Assistance Program (TMAP), will help extend access to over 9,000 locations, according to Lyte Fiber.
In addition to the grant, Lyte Fiber will invest an additional $40 million to extend the reach of BEAD projects, which will cover work in Bee, Cass, Harris, and Kleberg counties.
