The Mindful Minute by Jon Heydenreich: Food, food, food
Our church is hosting a food collection, and with enough items, we should qualify for a matching $500 from Thrivent, an investment and insurance business that supports community service.
As a small church, this is a significant opportunity for us. We invite readers to participate in our effort. We have received several donations and monetary gifts, which we will use to purchase food.
Donations can be left at the church's side doors: Trinity Lutheran, 161 Western Avenue (Route 9) in Brattleboro. The matching funds and food will be given to Groundworks, the local shelter. The deadline for this collection is October 28.
There is much goodness in folks.
