Last month, Jimmy Kimmel was briefly taken off ABC as punishment for comments he’d made on air about Charlie Kirk.
“These companies can find ways to change conduct to take action on Kimmel or, you know, there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”
FCC Chairman Brendan Carr delivered this warning on a conservative podcast, which was widely understood to be the reason for Kimmel's brief removal.
Under Carr's leadership, the FCC is in the midst of a historic deregulation spree, dubbed "Delete, Delete, Delete."
