Kraus-Anderson Completes $3.5 Million Renovation of Clover Shopping Center

Kraus-Anderson has finished a $3.5 million renovation of the Clover Shopping Center in Bloomington.

The project, owned by Engelsma Limited Partnership and designed by Tanek, Inc., included 16,000-square feet of exterior finishes, such as new signage, storefronts, and masonry brick.

Construction began in October 2024. The shopping center has also added a new tenant, Salons by JC, which leases beauty and wellness salon suites.

The new 8,123-square-foot salon opened on September 30.

Kraus-Anderson has a long history with the site, having developed and built Clover Center, Bloomington’s first shopping center, in the late 1950s.

The original site was owned by the Oxborough family, who were among the original settlers of Bloomington.
