Honoring Darren McFadden
Arkansas football's No. 5 jersey patch was introduced to honor Darren McFadden, a legendary player in the team's history.
The athletics department announced in July that McFadden's number would be honored, not retired, with a patch added to both the offensive and defensive jerseys.
- The patch features McFadden's silhouette and his initials, D.M.
- Defensive tackle Cam Ball and wide receiver Ja'Kayden Ferguson wear the patch this season.
It's a conversation piece
McFadden, the Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007, was honored on the field during the game against Texas A&M.
