A civil lawsuit seeking to remove V.I. Board of Elections Chairman Raymond Williams from the board was dismissed on Friday.
The case was brought by board members Lawrence Boschulte, Harriet Mercer, and Atanya Springette, along with Collister Fahie, who represented the group pro se.
Superior Court Judge Alphonso G. rejected a request for a temporary restraining order, finding that the plaintiffs had not presented evidence to support their allegations of illegality, fraud, or conflict of interest.
The hearing, which began at 10:00 a.m. and concluded after 4:00 p.m., was interrupted twice due to disconnections in the virtual setup used by the St. John–based members participating via Zoom.
No evidence was found to support the allegations, leading to the dismissal of the case.
