The B.C. Lions defeated the Edmonton Elks 37-24 in CFL action Friday night, led by quarterback Nathan Rourke's 70-yard touchdown run.
Rourke threw for 338 yards and a touchdown, while also scoring on the ground. Other Lions touchdowns were scored by Keon Hatcher, James Butler, and Robert Carter Jr. Kicker Sean Whyte added two field goals and three converts.
The Elks' QB Cody Fajardo threw for 230 yards and a touchdown, and added another on the ground. Binjimen Victor scored a touchdown, and Vincent Blanchard kicked a field goal and three converts.
The Lions have clinched a playoff spot and sit second in the league's West Division with a 10-7 record, while the Elks are eliminated from playoff play with a 7-10 record.
Nathan Rourke's 70-yard touchdown run was the highlight of the game.
