Rapper Snoop Dogg reverses stance, backing same-sex families and LGBTQ+ inclusion in new campaign affirming that "love is love".
Affirming same-sex families, Snoop Dogg teamed up with LGBTQ+ media advocacy group GLAAD to mark Spirit Day in the United States. Spirit Day is an annual event held on the third Thursday of October, during which people wear purple to stand against anti-LGBTQ+ bullying.
As part of the campaign, Snoop appeared in a YouTube video with out singer Jeremy Beloate. In their discussion, Snoop said:
“It’s a beautiful thing that kids can have parents of all walks and be able to be shown love, to be taught what love is, because hate is taught, and so is love.
