Princeton's field hockey team secured a comfortable 4-0 victory over Dartmouth, marking another win in their Ivy League campaign.
The Tigers, ranked 6th, improved to 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League, while unranked Dartmouth fell to 1-8 and 0-4. The game was characterized by Princeton's strong start, as they executed their plan to set the tone early.
First-year midfielder Caitlin Thompson scored her first career goal just 58 seconds into the game, capitalizing on the first corner of the day. Thompson rerouted senior midfielder Beth Yeager's ball past the Dartmouth goalkeeper.
"The short corner call was for me to score," Thompson said. "I expected to get the ball, and I was able to do the right thing and score. I was relieved for myself and happy for the team. We wanted to go out and score early, and we did."
