A study by Spark Insights has found distinct differences in how Canadians perceive Prime Minister Mark Carney and Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.
- Mark Carney is seen as more calm and rational (+24) and thoughtful and strategic (+19) compared to Pierre Poilievre.
- Carney is also viewed as having useful experience (+28), understanding the economy (+18), and being able to make tough decisions (+12).
- Pierre Poilievre, on the other hand, is associated with arrogance (+18) and hot-temperedness (+20).

The study suggests that each leader can see where they stand, with one having the option to continue on their current path, and the other potentially needing to change course to win the next election.
