Grant PUD Partners with The Energy Authority
Grant County Public Utility District has entered into a long-term partnership with The Energy Authority to strengthen its ability to operate in the rapidly changing Western energy markets.
The collaboration will give Grant PUD access to The Energy Authority’s trading, portfolio management and analytical services. The Energy Authority, based in Jacksonville, Florida, partners with over 80 public utilities nationwide.
- Short-term energy trading
- Load balancing
- Optimization of the utility’s generating resources
- Management of participation in the Western Resource Adequacy Program
- Preparation for involvement in the Southwest Power Pool’s emerging Markets+ initiative
