RISE Study: Growing Demand for Childcare
The Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) has released a comprehensive study on the demand for childcare services in its eight-county region, which includes Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, and Screven counties.
The report, prepared by Georgia Southern University's Center for Business Analytics and Economic Research and EDA University Center Program, was funded by Norfolk Southern's Thriving Communities grant program.
By understanding the real challenges related to childcare, meaningful steps can be taken to support families, childcare providers, and employers. Quality childcare isn’t just a family issue; it’s an economic one. When parents have reliable, affordable childcare, our entire region benefits.
According to RISE President and CEO Anna Chafin, the study aims to address the challenges related to childcare and promote economic growth in the region.
