Toyota plans to launch a line of cars featuring a new solid-state battery by 2027 or 2028.
New solid-state batteries will be made from a "highly durable" cathode material, powering a car for much longer than conventional EV batteries and charging faster.
Together, the companies "aim to achieve the world’s first practical use of all-solid-state batteries " in battery-powered EVs.
