UNC Asheville’s Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.
Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, serving as one of UNC Asheville's most consistent and impactful performers. He proved to be a force on both ends of the floor, with 15.7 points per game, a field goal percentage of .610, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 51 blocked shots.
Solomon delivered career-best outings throughout the year, including 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
