LaGrange Candidates Introduce Themselves at Senior Center
The Active Life Senior Center in LaGrange hosted a forum for LaGrange mayor and city council candidates on Wednesday morning.
Incumbent Mayor Jim Arrington, a lifelong LaGrange resident, has served on the council for six years and as mayor for the past year-and-a-half. He is married to Kathy, and they have one daughter and one grandchild.
We have some of the lowest utilities in the state of Georgia. We’re in the top 15 of the cheapest utilities. And I give credit to the previous council and mayors.
Arrington highlighted the city's lack of property taxes and low utility costs, emphasizing efforts to improve public safety.
Candidates were given time to introduce themselves and discuss their platform, followed by one-on-one time with attendees to answer questions.
