The United Arab Emirates has announced a partnership with Archireef, utilizing 3D printing technology to protect coral reefs.
The UAE is home to the largest coral reef in the region, the Ras Ghanadah protected area, spanning 55 square kilometers with 7.1 square kilometers of coral.
A memorandum of understanding was signed with Archireef, a climate technology company, to restore coral reefs and enhance coastal biodiversity.
This marks one of the most ambitious efforts to merge additive manufacturing with large-scale environmental restoration.
