Family's Cat Joins Vacation After 100-Mile Van Roof Ride

A Pennsylvania family's vacation plans took an unexpected turn when they discovered their cat, Ray Ray, on the roof of their van after driving 100 miles from home.

The Denardo family had set off on a trip to New Hampshire for a marathon and then on to New York City, saying goodbye to their pets and locking up the house, unaware that Ray Ray had sneaked onto the van's roof.

"We had driven for two hours and needed to stop for gas," Mara Denardo said. "My husband gets out of the car to pump the gas and is like, 'The cat is on the roof.'"

The family was shocked and amused by the discovery, which occurred after two hours of driving at 70 miles per hour on Interstate 80.
