MP's Fury as St George's Crosses Torn Down
Dozens of St George's flags on a town's seafront have been torn down just a week after a Labour councillor demanded they were removed.
MP for Great Yarmouth, Rupert Lowe, has blasted the "disgraceful" vandalism, after spending £500 of his own money on 164 St George's flags to be displayed across the borough.

The 68-year-old MP said the removal of the flags showed a "total lack of respect" for England's national symbol.
- 164 St George's flags were put up by Rupert Lowe and his team.
- 46 flags were initially hung along the promenade, but were ripped down within 24 hours.
- Labor councillor Ron Upton allegedly told Mr Lowe's staff to take the flags down, sparking a heated exchange.
