Fatal Shooting Outside Chili's
According to Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story, Philip Mullin, 50, was shot and killed by an officer in the parking lot outside Chili's Grill and Bar after refusing to comply.
The incident occurred after Mullin threatened multiple customers inside the restaurant with a knife and a claw hammer during an angry exchange, which took place just after 6 p.m. in a crowded restaurant.
Despite repeated requests from the officer, Mullin failed to comply, resulting in the fatal shooting.
