Tralee Humanitarian Nominated for Award
Joan O’Regan, a Tralee humanitarian, has been nominated for the Woman’s Way Mum of the Year Award for her volunteer work in east Kenya.
She is a longtime volunteer with the Cork-based NGO Brighter Communities Worldwide, supporting communities in East Kenya through health, education, water, economic, and female empowerment programs.
Volunteering overseas has been life-enriching and life-affirming, and I urge anyone who can to get involved.
Joan received her nomination at a ceremony held at the Royal Irish Academy, Dublin, recognizing her dedication to volunteering for over two decades.
