In 2013, Omega released two significant models: the Speedmaster Professional "Racing" and the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon.
The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon was a revolutionary watch at the time, as people had been longing for a black Speedmaster for a while.
It was a black ceramic version of the caliber-9300-powered Speedmaster, featuring a two-register dial and a domed sapphire crystal on the back. The case, dial, and bezel were all made of ceramic, a scratch-resistant material.
An update of this model was expected in 2023 to mark its 10th anniversary.
