Prompt Phone Call Helps Land Driver in Court
A quick-thinking member of the public helped police catch a driver who was allegedly driving dangerously in the Galatea/Murupara area.
On Sunday, October 12, at around 6pm, police received a call reporting someone driving dangerously along Troutbeck Rd, according to Rotorua Area Commander Herby Ngawhika.
- Police located the vehicle and pulled it over on Kopuriki Rd.
- A routine breath alcohol test was administered, and the driver blew about three times the legal limit.
Police would like to thank the member of our community for their vigilance and prompt reporting of the alleged dangerous driving, which led to this driver being held to account.
