The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) at the University of South Florida has launched a first-of-its-kind interactive dashboard to address the state's behavioral health workforce shortage.
This dashboard projects the supply and demand of behavioral health workforce through 2035, providing policymakers, providers, educators, and advocates with the necessary tools to confront the critical shortage of behavioral health professionals in Florida.
“Florida now has a way to see not just where the workforce stands today, but where it’s headed,”
said Julie Serovich, dean of the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. The launch of the dashboard comes ahead of Florida Behavioral Health Day on October 15, which highlights the urgent need to close access gaps and prepare the state's workforce for the future.
