Panthers Suffer First Loss of the Season

The Florida Panthers experienced their first defeat of the season, losing 5-2 to the Flyers. Despite being one of three teams to start 3-0 in the past 25 years after winning the Stanley Cup, the Panthers found themselves down by two goals for the first time.

The Panthers trailed 2-0 late in the second period but managed to rally. Sam Reinhart scored a shorthanded goal with 38 seconds remaining in the period. Sam Bennett then tied the game with a power play goal at 10:15 of the third period.

Sean Couturier got his second goal with 4:10 remaining, securing the win for the Flyers.
