Police Seek Man in Knife Assault Outside Sonoma Hotel
Authorities are searching for a suspect in a knife assault that occurred on October 11 at The Lodge at Sonoma Resort.
According to the Sonoma Police Department, an employee was attacked while trying to wake a person sleeping in bushes on the property. The incident happened late Saturday, October 11, at around 11:30 p.m. at the hotel, located at 1325 Broadway in Sonoma.
“When the employee approached, the individual reacted aggressively, yelling profanities and moving toward the employee with clenched hands, appearing to challenge them to fight,”
Sgt. Eric Smith of the Sonoma Police Department said. The employee and the man briefly fought, and at some point, the man pulled a small blade from his pocket and slashed the employee’s face. The injury was described as minor.
