Apple TV has decided to withdraw its upcoming French drama series “The Hunt” from its release lineup after allegations emerged that the show had copied material from a little-known novel.
According to sources close to the production, questions about the originality of the series surfaced after early promotional details were released. The streaming service has paused the show’s rollout pending further investigation.
A spokesperson for Apple TV stated that the decision to pull the series was made “out of respect for creative integrity and fairness in artistic work.”
“We take all claims of intellectual property infringement seriously and are reviewing the matter carefully,” the company representative said.
The series, initially set to premiere later this year, remains shelved until the issue is resolved. Neither the production team nor the novel’s author has publicly commented on the situation so far.
