Humor for Heroes Event
The Sioux Falls American Legion Post 15 is hosting a 'Humor for Heroes' event on October 24.
John Teel and John Small joined Dakota News Now to discuss the event.
"The event is coming up on October 24, which is a Friday evening. It’s at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance... Jerry Irby is our headliner; he’s an Air Force veteran, a hilarious guy. Travis is an army veteran, he’s also a part of the event, and he’s a very funny guy. And then I get to tell some jokes as well," said Small.
Small emphasized the importance of showing support for veterans, stating:
"I think it comes down to, everybody’s always like, ‘How can we be involved? How can we show support for veterans?’ And I’d say the first thing is just keep saying thank you. Thank a vet, go up, shake their hand, but also show up at the events, the parades, the ceremonies."
