Shedeur Sanders made history on Saturday by becoming the first quarterback in Rutgers University history to win a game with a passer rating of 99.8 or higher in back-to-back weeks.
The junior quarterback threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns, pacing the Scarlet Knights to a 38-20 win over Temple University.
Sanders was 23-of-32 for 333 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, leading Rutgers to its second-straight victory over a Power Five opponent.
"I'm just trying to stay in grind mode, stay in work mode," Sanders said after the game. "I don't want to get too high, don't want to get too low. I just want to stay in that zone and keep grinding."
Rutgers coach Greg Schiano praised Sanders' poise and work ethic, saying: "He's a great leader, he's a great competitor, he's a great teammate. He's a guy that's always striving to be better, always striving to lead his teammates to victory."
