US reviews certain green card holders
The Trump administration is reviewing the status of certain green card holders who are deemed a threat to national security, according to a report by Reuters.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director L. Francis Cissna said in a statement that the agency is "reviewing the immigration benefits of certain individuals who have been charged with, or have engaged in, conduct that poses a threat to national security."
The review is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to strengthen immigration enforcement and identify individuals who may pose a threat to national security.
The review is focused on green card holders who have been charged with or have engaged in conduct that poses a threat to national security, such as terrorism or espionage.
Cissna stated, "We are committed to protecting the safety and security of the American people and will continue to review and evaluate the immigration benefits of individuals who have been charged with or have engaged in conduct that poses a threat to national security."
According to a statement from USCIS, the agency will review the immigration benefits of individuals who have been charged with or have engaged in conduct that poses a threat to national security, including:
- Terrorism
- Espionage
- Spreading propaganda or supporting terrorist organizations
