Randle heartbroken by race

Scott Randle has spoken out about his disappointment after finishing 15th in the Great South Run 10-mile road race in Portsmouth on Sunday.

Randle, who was the British champion in the 10,000m this summer, was expected to be in contention for the top honors in the event, which features an elite field of athletes.

However, he struggled with the pace of the race and eventually dropped back to finish in 15th place, over a minute behind the winner.

Randle has said that he was heartbroken by his performance, and has vowed to work harder to improve his endurance and speed.

"I'm absolutely gutted by my performance," he said. "I knew I had the speed and the talent, but I just didn't have the endurance to stay with the pack."

Randle has been training with a new coach and has been working on his endurance and speed, but the race was a major setback for him.

He has vowed to bounce back from the disappointment and to work even harder to achieve his goals.

Resuming his campaign, Randle said: "I will take this as a learning experience and come back stronger."
