Weeks following a children's birthday party in upscale Vaucluse that turned into a shouting match, tensions have escalated into a full legal confrontation. The dispute involves Danielle Plaskitt, who runs a 'pony party' business in Sydney's semi-rural northwest, and D'Leanne Lewis, an eastern suburbs real estate agent and star of the Amazon Prime Video series Luxe Listings Sydney.
Lewis shared a video on Instagram capturing the chaotic moment at her daughter Lyra's third birthday party. The clip, viewed by Lewis’s 70,000 followers, showed Plaskitt sharply ordering,
“Get away from my ponies, now!”as Lewis carried Lyra away from the scene. The video portrayed Plaskitt as irritable and aggressive.
Plaskitt explained the outburst was provoked because some guests were “obstructive and difficult,” her company’s terms and conditions were ignored, and her team lacked proper parking access. She emphasized that there was more complexity behind the incident than shown in the video.
Following media coverage, both parties are now considering legal steps. Lewis has already issued a cease-and-desist letter. The conflict began after Lewis coordinated with a party planner to book Plaskitt’s business, My Pony Party, to provide animal entertainment at Kimberley Reserve in Sydney’s east on September 28.
This dispute over a pony party at a high-end birthday event turned unexpectedly hostile, leading to public backlash and potential legal battles between the involved parties.
