Kelsey Grammer Shares Family's Joy Over New Baby
Actor Kelsey Grammer, known for his role as Frasier, revealed how his family reacted to welcoming a new child at the age of 70. In October, Grammer and his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, welcomed their son Christopher, expanding their family to eight children.
Family's Reaction to New Arrival
Grammer's children—Faith (12), Gabriel (10), and James (8) with Kayte, along with Spencer (41), Greer (33), Mason (23), and Jude (20) from previous relationships—have warmly embraced the new addition.
"We're all really having a great time. It's really lovely," Grammer told People magazine.
Grammer on Fatherhood and Family Bonds
The actor described becoming a father again as "awesome and fantastic." He emphasized the strength of his family ties, saying,
"We are closer than we've ever been as a family, and I'm proud of that."
He shared the news of Christopher's birth in late October, stating,
"Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids! Christopher just joined the family."
Time with Children and Professional Life
Grammer values spending time with his children and especially enjoys when they can all be together. He appeared alongside his daughter Kandace in the "Frasier" revival and with Spencer in the TV film The 12 Days of Christmas Eve.
Reflecting on his career, Grammer told Variety,
"My work has allowed me to do that. I've been given this great experience. It's been painful and challenging and hard and tragic – all those things. And I want to pass that on to them."
