Djeison Rafael, 21, has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Birmingham city centre that left a woman in her 30s fighting for her life.
The attack happened around 9pm on Friday, November 7, in Smallbrook Queensway, near the Bullring shopping centre and Birmingham New Street Station.
The woman sustained a serious neck injury and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The police characterized the stabbing as an "unprovoked attack."
Authorities are seeking information from witnesses about the incident and Rafael’s movements before it occurred. At the time, he was wearing an all-grey tracksuit, black hat, trainers, and carrying a rucksack.
"Police are still keen to hear from other witnesses to the incident and to the movements of Rafael."
