Jetstar Restarts Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon Route with $29 Flights

Jetstar is expanding its network by bringing back flights between Adelaide and Melbourne Avalon Airport starting 26 March 2026. This provides South Australian travelers with an affordable and convenient way to reach Victoria.

The low-cost airline will offer up to seven weekly return flights using Airbus A320 aircraft, adding around 109,000 low-fare seats annually. This route reconnects South Australia with Victoria’s Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong, a service paused since before the pandemic.

Promotional Fare Launch

To celebrate the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares from just $29, available from 11:30 am (ACDT) today. This limited-time sale matches prices from the airline’s launch over 20 years ago and is expected to sell out quickly.

“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully.

She added, “It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”

Key Points

Summary: Jetstar resumes Adelaide to Melbourne Avalon flights in March 2026, offering budget fares from $29 and improving access to key Victorian destinations.
