Hollywood legend Sally Kirkland, aged 84, is receiving hospice care at a Palm Springs hospital following a challenging year of health battles. Her representative, Michael Greene, confirmed that the actress has been struggling with dementia since last year.
“She will not go until I’m holding her hand,” said Michael Greene, who is traveling from JFK to be with her.
According to a GoFundMe page created to support Kirkland’s medical expenses, the actress endured multiple severe injuries over the past year, including fractures in her neck, right wrist, and left hip. While recuperating, she suffered two life-threatening infections that required multiple hospitalizations and rehabilitation beyond what her insurance could cover.
Cody Galloway, her close friend and former student, is by her side during this difficult time. The fundraiser stated that Kirkland is now resting comfortably under hospice care.
