A team from Scania’s Dandenong Branch, part of the company-owned Australian network, won this year’s National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. They will travel to Bangkok in early 2026 to compete in the Asian Regional finals, aiming to secure one of two spots available for the World Finals in Sweden.
Seven teams participated in the National Finals, following a knockout round that included eight additional teams from across Australia.
“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,” said Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia.
The event took place at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.
Under team captain Chris Chilver, Dandenong earned the champion title for the second year. Chris described this year’s National Finals as the toughest in his four-year experience.
“We had good team spirit; we weren’t put off if we had a low score from one of the stations when we went to the next one. It was evident that it was going to be a tough event, so we just buckled down. We allocated each team member to the tasks that best used their strengths. I think we worked quite well together.”
The Dandenong team’s resilience and strategic teamwork secured them another national victory, positioning them strongly for the upcoming regional and world competitions.
