Two Drown in Dandenong Creek

A woman and a child tragically drowned after falling into a creek in Dandenong on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred near Allan Street around 3:45 p.m.

According to witnesses, both were swept away by the current after slipping into Dandenong Creek. Investigators believe the woman entered the water to rescue the child but soon got into distress herself.

Police and emergency crews conducted a search and discovered the unconscious pair. They were pulled from the water, and CPR was performed immediately. Unfortunately, the efforts to revive them were unsuccessful, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
