Typhoon Uwan, previously named Fung-wong, is quickly gaining strength as it nears the Philippines, with authorities issuing warnings about destructive winds, heavy rains, and potentially life-threatening conditions.
Typhoon Uwan is expected to enter the PAR by midnight or early Saturday, at which time it will be renamed Uwan, meaning "rain" in Cebuano. Forecasts suggest it could make landfall near its peak strength over Northern or Central Luzon on 10 November 2025.
