Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong), the Philippines’ 21st tropical cyclone of 2025, is advancing toward the archipelago, bringing torrential rains and extremely powerful winds. PAGASA has advised the public to stay alert as widespread flooding, landslides, and storm surges are expected.

Meanwhile, the Quezon City Veterinary Department Response Team rescued several animals stranded by flooding, including a dog in Barangay Paltok and multiple stray cats caught in the storm’s path.
