UNLV vs. Colorado State: Prediction, Betting Odds & How To Watch

UNLV head coach Dan Mullen appeared unusually subdued during his weekly press conference on Monday, still processing the Rebels’ 40–35 home loss to New Mexico. The defeat left him disappointed not only by the missed tackles and the 532 yards yielded by his defense but by the team’s inability to seize a late opportunity to win.

“That hurts, as a team,” Mullen said. “It’s our focus to get back into making sure we’re performing better, and when we have opportunities to make things happen, to win games, we’re doing things to win games.”

The Rebels had rallied from a 21-point deficit to trail by one with just over six minutes remaining, only to surrender a late touchdown run with under three minutes to play. Their final drive ended scoreless, sealing the loss.

Despite the setback, Mullen emphasized that much of the season remains and that his squad is intent on competing for the Mountain West title. UNLV, now 6–2 overall and 2–2 in the conference, will travel to face Colorado State (2–6, 1–3) on Saturday.

One bright spot continues to be quarterback Anthony Colandrea, who remains among the conference’s top passers. Against New Mexico, he completed 36 of 46 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his efficiency and leadership.
