Colorado State football blasted by UNLV, falls to 2-7

Colorado State falls to UNLV 42–10

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State dropped its third consecutive game and seventh of the season Saturday night at Canvas Stadium, suffering a heavy 42–10 defeat to UNLV. The Rams came out strong early but quickly lost momentum as UNLV took control before halftime.

Quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi managed to connect on a few big passes in the first quarter, but turnovers and missed opportunities crushed Colorado State’s rhythm. UNLV capitalized on nearly every mistake, extending the lead with a relentless ground attack and efficient passing.

Coach Jay Norvell called the loss a major disappointment but emphasized the importance of finishing the season strong despite the team’s struggles.

"We’ve got to fight through this,” Norvell said. “There’s still pride to play for, and we owe that to ourselves and our fans."

With the defeat, Colorado State drops to 2–7 overall, while UNLV improves its record and strengthens its position in the Mountain West standings. The Rams will look to regroup next week in hopes of salvaging what remains of a difficult season.
