Lane Hutson has officially signed an eight-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens, worth $8.85 million per season, with the majority of the contract ($55M out of $70M) in bonuses.

The contract, which will take effect next summer, also includes a small no-trade clause. General Manager Kent Hughes worked hard to convince Hutson to sign, initially offering a deferred-money contract before agreeing to the current terms.
